He imparted its rays upon this generation

The news of your father’s death came to us two Sundays ago. We were shocked. It’s like yesterday was his first trip to Nigeria. A comet has just eclipsed but not without imparting its rays upon this generation. He lived a simple, holy and humble life with the loving, tender heart of a child. Oh! how we miss him. Surely, we shall see him as part of those riding upon the white horse with his Lord called the Word of God for he was found faithful, true and Holy. May the God of peace comfort you and your family in a day as this. Shalom!

Clayton became a pillar in the Body of Christ

Christian love and condolences to the Sonmore family at the promotion to glory of their father Clayton Sonmore.

"Precious in the sight to the Lord is the death of his saints." (Psalms 116:15)

My wife, Fern, and family so much appreciated the hospitality of Clayton and his wife when they welcomed us into their home and their "Becky's" restaurant when we came from House of Prayer in Springfied, Missouri, to minister in the Twin Cities in the seventies.

Clayton became a pillar in the Body of Christ, from the founding of the Full Gospel Business Men's Fellowship, to doing undercover investigation of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal, and to his periodical, Show the House to the House, he stood for truth and growth to maturity in Christ for the Body of Christ.

Surely, Clayton Sonmore has passed on a heritage to the Church and to his family.

My Condolences to the Sonmore Family

My Name is Raymond Blanchey. I move to the Minneapolis area from Okla. City in 2008. I discovered your father's ministry in 2012 watching Michael Rood. Rood said that your father wrote the book on coming out of organized church. Yehovah call me out in 2005 but I didn't know why until I read the little book "Beyond Pentecost". The LORD used all of your father's books in an awesome way and I will be eternally grateful. I plan to meet your father at the First Ressurrection. God Bless You!!

Your Dad

Dear Gary and all the family,

We write from England having only recently heard of your father going home to be with the Lord. May the wonderful hope we have comfort you all, that we will all be together again soon. What a day that will be.

Your father's prophetic writings that pointed us beyond Pentecost in the Lord's plan to bring forth His Kingdom in those sons who would walk by the Spirit was, for us, most timely. When Clayt sent out copies of 'Beyond Pentecost' in late 1992 it brought us answers and insight to what we found were unfolding in our midst as that very next year began. The Lord was telling us that He was beginning to separate the Harlot and the Bride, a word which within days saw what man had taken out of the Holy Spirits hands was indeed beginning to separate and crumble.

Your father's insight, obtained by his own experiences of the previous forty plus years, made sense of what God was having to do to bring forth His church, led by His Spirit with Jesus as its Head; to the reality of Tabernacles.

Your father and mother visited us in our home that year and we spent a little time with them in Minnesota some time afterwards.

The understanding the Lord had been unfolding to us here I wrote in a little booklet entitled 'Who Is Leading The Church?' Your father asked for and distributed copies to all his mailing list. We found ourselves walking alongside your wonderful parents in bringing forth understanding of what God was going to do in bringing His church, His body, to maturity.

Since then we have realised that Pentecost is over yet still we wait for the promised final feast whist the trumpet is already sounding that only those with ears to hear seem to hear or recognise.

The plan of God for His church is already two thousand years in its unfolding, part of His bigger plan that stretches from Genesis to the end of Revelation. Your father has played an essential part in this, testifying as he has despite much spiritual opposition, to the move of God that began in 1948 but which became a river that became more and more polluted the wider it became. The lessons your father learned and shared as to the reasons for this, its inevitability, but its final victory we will always be indebted to him for. Hopefully, by God's grace, we can carry on the banner.

Your father often spoke that there were many who were called, many chosen, but we needed to be faithful. Your father was of this latter band. He glorified the Lord Jesus through His life and we thank God for him with all our hearts.

With much love in Jesus to you all. Our prayers are with you all

CONDOLENCE MESSAGE FROM THE IYOHA FAMILY

"...Not by might, nor by power, but by my SPIRIT  saith the LORD of hosts"

LETTER OF CONDOLENCE

The End Time Church in Nigeria

Dearly beloved Gary and Entire Sonmore family,
The passing of your father and our brother/father in the Lord Clayt Sonmore, came to us with a mix of Sadness and joy.
Sadness, because, we miss him in the flesh.  No matter the age, a loved one will be missed when he departs, by the family and those whose lives were touched in the course of his life, such as us.  We will greatly miss him.
Joy, because we know he has joined the heavenly hosts and is now with his Lord whom he loved, served and lived for, while in the body.   The bible says: "The memory of the just is blessed..."  Proverbs 10:7a.  We remember him coming to Nigeria several years ago and edifying the church here.  He freely shared the book "Beyond Pentecost" which he authored, to us.  This great book served to establish many across Nigeria in the Kingdom Message.
We have continued to receive edification not only from this book, but also from others which brother Clayt authored as well.  Other volumes include: None dare call it deception; The Spirit of the great Cathedral; Who was William Branham?; Beware of strange fire; etc.
We thank God for this great ministry and for the commitment he planted in our dear brother who, even at his 90th birthday, still looked forward to another missionary visit to Nigeria.
On behalf of the End-time Church in Nigeria, we offer our condolences and will have you know that we identify with you in this great moment of living without the physical presence of your Father Clayt Sonmore.

TRIBUTE TO Pa CLAYTON SONMORE

Dear Sonmore Family,

Nonso and I count it a great privilege to have personally known and met this rare servant of God. Pa Sonmore was a great gift to the Body of Christ whose exceptional writing and ministry impacted, and still impacts many around the world. The church in Nigeria has been greatly blessed by Pa Sonmore. His classic work ''Beyond Pentecost', had set many on the path towards the high calling of God in Christ Jesus and remains the best primer on the rudiments of the kingdom message. Pa was was a bridge between the past and present whose ministry passed on the torchlight and baton of noteworthy landmarks of earlier move of the Spirit that enabled a clearer gaze into what lies ahead. While Pa goes to his well deserved rest, the family he leaves behind should be deeply consoled in the fact that his selfless service and transparent love for the Body of Christ are indelibly ingrained in the hearts of those who know him.

Sincerely,

Francis & Nonso Bisong,
Calabar, Nigeria.

Mr Sonmore was the holiest man on earth I ever saw. I have memories / images of him as he led a God first lifestyle. I admired him. Understood him because I laid my weapons of self-destruction down when I was with him. Judgement , scorn and was able to watch a man of God be a man of God. He was good to me. I'm honored to have known him.

Memories of our beloved brother Clayt Sonmore : Show the House to the House and Beyond Pentecost

Our Dear Brother Gary, Sister Emily and the entire Sonmore family while we pray the Lord to grant you the grace to bear the temporary pain of missing a loved ones physical companionship,  we indeed join you with gratitude to our almighty God to celebrate the life and times of our beloved brother and father in the Lord - Clayt Sonmore.
My memories of him captured when he visited Nigeria with brother Cecil duCille and preached on Show the House to the House as well as Beyond Pentecost  remain eternal ingrained in my Christian walk. I can still see copies of the books being shared during the meeting in minds eye.
We thank God for this great gift to the Church who has completed his course on earth and joined the cloud of witnesses to receive his crown of glory
We will miss his physical presence but remain eternally comforted by the legacy he left for us all and trust the Lord to grant you and all of us great grace  to carry the baton  and continue the race.
May the peace of God that passes all understanding abound to you all.
Remain strong in the Lord and in the power of his love.
We love you all

Please accept my condolences. I did not have privilege of meeting your Father but I read his book "Beyond Pentecost". In fact it was one of the first detailed books I read when I came to the word on sonship. I learnt a lot from it.

May the Almighty God fill up whatever gap his departure may leave in your life or that of your family. May the Almighty God continue to guide and guard you in all your ways.

Please extend my love to the family.

God bless you,

Mike and I were also saddened to hear of your fathers passing. They were both such a gift to the Body of Christ. I so wish we could make the funeral but probably not likely. Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers as well.

My mom always said if she passes she wants Emily to sing. We will probably have a memorial in about 3 weeks. I will let you know when we have a date.  Feel free to send a email out or share with others.

Blessings and Love,
